Building our first science lab
In August, our first Year 10 students began their IGCSE courses, a milestone for a school that opened in 2017 with a single preschool class. Cambridge sciences are built on practical work: experiments, measurement, real equipment. The new science lab gives our students the space to do that properly, for this first cohort and every class that follows.
Our school sits between Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti and Olduvai Gorge, some of the most remarkable natural landscapes on earth. We want our students to have the tools to study the world around them, not just read about it. Help us finish the lab.
What your gift makes possible
The lab is designed around four complete workstations and four shared microscopes, so every chemistry, physics and biology class can run experiments themselves instead of watching demonstrations.
$350: a student microscope
$600: a semester of chemicals for hands-on IGCSE chemistry, including titrations and gas and ion tests
$1,200: a full class set of equipment for electrical circuit experiments
$2,300: a teacher's microscope with a built-in camera
$5,700: one complete workstation for up to six students
$23,000: fully equips all four workstations
Our German foundation is raising funds at the same time. This progress combines all funds raised between Germany and the US.
